TN assembly election 2026: Counting centres to be set up at Coimbatore’s Government College of Technology
District collector Pavankumar G Giriyappanavar, corporation commissioner M Sivaguru Prabakaran, deputy commissioner of police (South range) K Karthikeyan and officials from the public works department visited the college.
COIMBATORE: Election officials on Friday inspected the Government College of Technology (GCT) on the Thadagam Road in the city where counting centres will be set up for the upcoming assembly election. Coimbatore district has ten assembly constituencies -- Coimbatore South, Coimbatore North, Singanallur, Thondamuthur, Kavundampalayam, Mettupalayam, Sulur, Kinathukadavu, Pollachi and Valparai. After polling, the electronic voting machines with control units would be brought to the strong room at the GCT. District collector Pavankumar G Giriyappanavar, corporation commissioner M Sivaguru Prabakaran, deputy commissioner of police (South range) K Karthikeyan and officials from the public works department visited the college. The collector directed officials to take necessary arrangements to set up the counting centres at GCT.
